LHH has partnered with a large Kansas City based company to find their next Vice President of Finance. This is an Executive level position and will play a pivotal role in the direction of the company. Reporting to the CFO, the VP of Finance will lead the Financial Analysis and Planning team and will be a key strategic partner to the business. Qualified candidates must have a background in insurance and preferably health payer experience.
As an Executive level position, this position offers both Long Term Incentive as well as a 40% Short Term Incentive bonus. They are offering a generous relocation package for qualified out-of-state candidates.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
Financial analysis and performance evaluation
Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs)
Financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders
Business partnering with other departments
Resource allocation and capital investment decisions
Risk management and mitigation strategies
Process improvement and automation
Leadership and mentorship of FP&A team
Strategic initiatives support (e.g., M&A, new product launches)
Stakeholder communication of financial insights
Compliance with financial regulations and governance
Ad hoc analysis and special projects
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
CPA or CFA certification preferred
Extensive experience in Financial Planning and Analysis
Strong financial modeling and Analysis skills
Proficiency in strategic Planning and budgeting
Leadership and team management experience
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* This company is on a hybrid work schedule with 3 days/week in office and 2 days/week from home.
Pay Details: $225,000.00 to $300,000.00 per year
