The VP, Finance - US and Mexico maintains a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The VP, Finance - US and Mexico is responsible for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, treasure, tax, global purchasing, new business analysis, investor relationship, and institutional financing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives. Reviews, interprets, analyzes and communicates financial information and reports to the company's executive team, investors, shareholders, and other interested stakeholders. 

Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company. Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts. 

Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting. 

Direct and oversee all aspects of US/Mexico Financial organization for Contract Logistics, Freight Forwarding and other supply chain verticals. 

Evaluates and advises on the impact of short and long-range planning of potential acquisitions and business combinations, new business programs, strategies, and regulatory action. Supports due diligence, analyses strategic fit and risks & opportunities for integration. 

Provides strategic financial and general input and leadership on decision making affecting the organization. Provide recommendations to strategically enhance (financial) performance and business opportunities. 

Manage design and implementation of various corporate strategic initiative amongst other exercises related to capital structure. 

Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.

Key Qualifications 

  • Accounting or Finance undergraduate degree; MBA preferred 
  • US CPA Certification Required
  • Extensive global experience in leading the finance department in a large to medium sized company with a complex accounting structure. 
  • Technical skills and experience in financial reporting, analysis, cash flow management, lender relationships and M&A experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and attain results through others, drive change 
  • Forward thinking individual with high ethical standards and appropriate professional image
  • Strong interpersonal / communication skills - able to communicate and establish effective working relationships with all departments. 
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with proven experience leading complex, large-scale, global projects. 
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to drive solutions cross-functionally.

  • Achieve effectiveness of our integrated management system by following the Quality Policy and meeting company objectives. 
  • Work to be compliant with the company environmental, health and safety standards and rules. 
    Working Conditions and Physical Effort 
    No or very limited physical effort required. 
    No or very limited exposure to physical risk. 
    Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. 
    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 
    Work off hours as needed. 
    Up to 60% travel, including some international travel. 
    Requires valid driver's license and passport.
