Who You Are

As the VP, Commercialization, your ability to engage, map, and ultimately win commercial contracts inside large & complex accounts is superb; and your ability to deliver multi-year programs from contract signing and into production is proven. You're able to build high-trust relationships with fellow executives; and you enjoy getting into the details of the business and are able to not only present at a high level, but also operate deeply hands on at critical times. 

You bring experience in highly technical, automotive, and/or industrial sectors. Beyond the excitement of closing a deal, you're resolute and are even more motivated by the ultimate finish line of seeing the deal turn into production shipments and revenue. Personally, you appreciate the possibility of changing the world with technology notwithstanding the challenges and risks involved.

Responsibilities and Duties  
  • Establish an elite commercial team of account leaders and technical implementation experts 
  • Work with Product to shape go-to-market plans and own commercial operating strategies to execute
  • Win commercial contracts through systematic and methodical multi-year, staged engagements
  • Partner with the VP, Product, CTO, and VP, Technology to deliver on complex product integrations
  • Ensure multi-threaded relationships are built with partners evidenced by high information exchange
  • Represent Sila with customer executives in private and on stages at conferences worldwide
  • Crush the basics - timely communication, negotiations, forecasting, order to cash
Knowledge and Skill Requirements 
  • Technology and industrial sector experiences with technical, deeply integrated products (Semiconductor, Materials, Chemicals, Optics, Energy, Automotive, Consumer Electronics)
  • Prior commercial leadership experience in enterprise sales with complex technology products
  • Prior commercial leadership experience in rapidly growing start-up environments
  • Will to compete and win as part of a team under extremely challenging and complex conditions
  • Excellent people management, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree required; technical degree recommended; advanced degree welcome

 

The starting base pay for this role is between $261,000 and $330,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila's competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses.  The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. #LI-FM1 #LI-Onsite
