The VP Business Intelligence will drive data presentment, analytics, reporting, and governance for Del Norte. To communicate findings to help the business make smarter, data driven decisions. The position will work to support cross-functional business needs utilizing business systems to more effectively monitor and analyze Credit Union data to deliver on trends, information and solutions to key stakeholders. This position will transform our business into a data driven organization intent on building member value and creating a more competitive market position.

VP Business Intelligence:

- Owns data presentment and warehousing to ensure data accuracy.
- Works to centralize all reporting and presentment of data to ensure accuracy of information.
- Champions as a strategic partner with IT to influence the design, alignment, and implementation of technical standards to address appropriate business solutions.
- Leads or directs the development of innovative approaches to address complex or unique business problems and solutions.
- Collaborates with leaders and managers to determine and address data and reporting needs for various company projects.
- Leads predictive / analytical solutions, modeling standards, reporting, and data analysis methodologies.
- Analyzes and interprets data using statistical methods ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Works to develop/maintain data governance and solutions, including consulting or outsourced resources as needed on Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence / Analytics architecture best practices.
- Design, create and analyze reports, executive summaries and queries for distribution to management.
- Perform testing and validation of data sets.
- Mentor and train subordinates on data and adherence to governance structure.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience:
- Five years to eight years of similar or related experience.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field that involves the management of information technology.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Other Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of and experience with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and databases (SQL, DB2, etc.).
- Knowledge of statistics techniques (regressions, tree-based, etc.) and advanced experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets. (Excel, Access, Python, R, etc.)
