How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
This position will be responsible for leading, directing, and inspiring the National and Regional Advanced Fabrication Technologies and Business Development markets Teams to achieve top line sales growth, EBITDA performance, and customer service excellence. Partner and collaborate with Divisional / Regional Presidents and National Accounts Teams to build short and long term strategies for each area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Understand market trends

  • Anticipates evolutions of customers' expectations and behaviors by understanding market trends and how these trends impact customers needs. Translate those evolutions in actionable product and/or market segment roadmap
  • Defines marketing forecasts on the market segments / offers in his/her scope.
  • Organizes competitive intelligence; benchmarks the offers, products and services with competitors. Assesses competitors' customer satisfaction.

Manage and develop the Adv Fab specialists (National and Regional) network
  • Ensures a safe workplace environment. Enforcement of safety rules and correct application of IMS requirements (travel, management of tests in Adv Fab labs or at Customers' plants, offer designs, etc.)
  • Oversees development of the expertise and personal development of the Airgas Adv Fab teams. Ensures training and development is aligned to the needs of the markets we serve. Manage a TCL roadmap for critical positions / skills. Create the conditions for maintaining/transferring knowledge and expertise.
  • Ensure effective engagement, collaboration, teamwork, and communication throughout the National / Regional Companies.
  • Expend best practices (e.g. monthly call with MetFab SA segment leader) to other key market segments with significant welding and cutting contribution (Eg Construction).

Develop and execute marketing plans for key Airgas solutions to the Airgas Sales organizations (from SA to regional Account Managers)
  • Oversees the Airgas commercial offering for all shielding and laser gases, and related solutions involving HG, equipments and/or services
  • Builds the marketing plans to support Airgas Regions growth ambition, leveraging strategic analysis insight. Defines Sales and profitability objectives, market segments to focus on and value-add offers pricing positioning.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with Regional sales leadership
  • Work with other Marketing groups on the implementation of those marketing plans: develop relevant content (white papers, web pages, video, etc.), ensure each Adv Fab area is represented on Airgas.com, SOS site and all relevant trade shows, scale lead generation campaigns

Manage key Programs roll-out as UHCW (Unlock Hidden Cost of Welding) or ARCAL
  • Manage the UHCW / ARCAL programs aiming at flawless end-to-end execution until value creation in Airgas Regions P&L
  • Reviews and sign-off business plan for all selected programs.
  • Monitor $ sales, GM, premium pricing, program adoption by Regions/Divisions
  • Recommends enhancements to improve performance and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in the Air Liquide IPG PLM committee, identifying and providing recommendations regarding initiatives to improve overall IPG PLM.

Innovation and future offers
  • Encourage local innovation by creating favorable conditions (capital, opex, ecosystem engagement)
  • Lead discussions and R&D projects with the Innovation Campus Delaware (ICD). Secure Airgas business engagement with the AFC Platform at ICD
  • Contribute to key roadmaps (eg : for Manufacturing 4.0, Additive Manufacturing) in close collaboration with IM-WBL.

Process/ tools / KPIs and team performance management
  • Manages Advanced Fabrication departments, Forecast and budget for future staff and equipment needs for the fiscal year.
  • defines the objectives of the National Adv Fab team members (bonus sheet...) and track value creation, efficiency, project workload / quality
  • Ensures technical support, create training material and organizes training path for Account Manager, Adv Fab specialists
  • Measure overall performance, ROI of every activity under his/her department scope
  • Promote the use of Salesforce platform.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a broad knowledge of the IM markets common to the Airgas customer base with a focus on market segments including welding / cutting activities.
  • Knowledge of welding and power equipment and the related OEM ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with UHCW program
  • Must be self-motivated and results/action oriented
  • Outstanding people skills. Strong in-person, written and oral communication skills and the confidence to permit selling to high-level officers of customer companies.
  • Collaborative person able to manage and inspire others and effectively lead and influence groups. Team player with a positive attitude towards other associates, customers and work environment.
  • Capacity to step back from day-to-day business and formalize a vision, a strategy, and communicate it to Airgas leadership.
  • Must have a good business acumen that will be applied in all dealings with vendors, customers and Airgas Associates. Capacity to articulate a business case, ROI and other metrics utilized by Airgas financial governance.
  • Appetite for data and digital is a plus

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • BS Degree in Business or related field of study and / or 15 years' experience working in the welding industry with experience managing a High Performance sales force.
  • Proven track record at business planning and achieving measurable goals.
  • Established track record as producer could supersede educational requirements.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
