Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Volunteer Recruiter to join our team at Warriors First Inc. This is a remote volunteer position, allowing you to contribute to our mission from anywhere. The Volunteer Recruiter will work directly with the Executive Director to identify and recruit volunteers for various positions within our organization. This role plays a crucial part in helping us fulfill our mission and expand our impact by bringing together individuals who are passionate about supporting veterans, service members, and first responders.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to identify volunteer needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Utilize various recruitment channels, including online platforms, social media, community outreach, and networking events, to attract potential volunteers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to promote volunteer opportunities.
- Screen, interview, and assess potential volunteers to ensure they are a good fit for available positions and aligned with the organization's mission and values.
- Provide information and support to volunteers throughout the recruitment and onboarding process, including orientation and training.
- Track volunteer recruitment activities and maintain accurate records of volunteer information and participation.
- Assist in the development of volunteer recruitment materials, such as job descriptions, brochures, and promotional materials.
Qualifications:
- Passion for the mission and values of Warriors First Inc. and a strong commitment to supporting veterans, service members, and first responders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire others.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Previous experience in recruitment, volunteer management, or human resources is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with online recruitment platforms and social media.
