Southwest Michigan Non-Profit seeks Additional Volunteer Board Members.
The Fair Housing Center of Southwest Michigan (FHCSWM) is a non-profit organization committed to eliminating all forms of housing discrimination in Southwest Michigan through Fair Housing education, outreach, enforcement, and advocacy.
The FHCSWM serves a nine-county area including Allegan, Barry, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, Berrien, Cass, St. Joseph and Branch counties. Fair housing laws prohibit discrimination in any activity relating to the sale or rental of dwellings, financing or insuring housing, the terms and conditions related to housing, or harassment that is based on your race, color, religion, disability, familial status, national origin or sex.
The Fair Housing Center of Southwest Michigan is seeking dedicated and committed individuals who are interested in serving in a governance and voluntary capacity on the Board of Directors.
Board members can be expected to commit an average of three to four hours a month to provide guidance and support through Board meetings held monthly, fundraising and possible committee meetings.
