Job Description
Toly Digital Networks is seeking Class 4 / 5 Softswitch engineer to help develop and support our Cloud Switch Architecture. Ideal candidate must have a working knowledge of Class 4 / 5 switch management, dial plans and customer VoIP services (residential PBX). Netsapiens experience or knowledge a plus. Your softswitch experience, overall Unified Communications knowledge, and ability to build strong Customer relationships, will help Toly continue to grow and support the current and future needs of our Customers.
Preferred location Jupiter, Florida office. Open to remote office also.
Engineer general responsibility:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and management of cloud-based Class 4 / 5 softswitch platform and related network components.
- Test, implement, maintain custom VoIP based infrastructure.
- Coordinate and facilitate Hosted Voice services for resellers and enterprise users. Pre and Post testing of systems and equipment.
- Working directly with the Engineering team and customers to debug and troubleshoot issues gathering needed information and performing investigative activities.
- Taking on customer reported issues. Helping to prioritize and set importance on changes affecting all clients.
- Assist in design of version rollout instructions and new feature documentation.
- Monitor, verify and notify voice/data network and alarms.
- Work independently with minimal guidance and demonstrate a sense of urgency for customer impacting issues.
- This position is interactive, and responsible for serving our customers.

The Ideal Engineer Should Possess Following:
- 3+ years of experience
- Class 4/5 Softswitch experience (Netsapians knowledge a plus)
- Unified Communications, VOIP, Video, and SIP technologies
- Dial Plan development and management
- Cloud computing technologies and concepts
- Network routers, switches, systems, and tools
- Specific in-depth knowledge of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)
- Ability and desire to take on challenging and previously unknown/unsolved problems
- Understanding of software version control methodologies and applications
- Experience with Unix operating systems
- A strong familiarity with Linux utilities a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with positive attitude
