MUSICAL VOCAL DIRECTORQUALIFICATIONS: 1. Kentucky Certificate with proper endorsements.Such additional qualifications as the Superintendent or Board may find appropriate and acceptable. REPORTS: Director/Producer and the Principal SUPERVISES: Staff as assigned by the Director JOB GOAL: To serve as the Vocal Director for the musical.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for serving as the conductor/contact person for all vocal rehearsal schedules.Responsible for the inventory, maintenance and return of any vocal scripts and rehearsal scores rented or owned during his/her assignment.Attend auditions, conduct vocal auditions, and provide input into casting directions.Ensure the vocals are at a level expected of advanced high school vocal students.Responsible for preparing, rehearsing, and coaching the students in vocals for musical theatre.Work with accompanist and Musical Orchestra Director in preparation of musical performances.Perform such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Principal or the Superintendent.TERM OF SERVICE: Salary and workdays to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
