- We need support around our new VMware on-prem environment running Windows/Linux VMs.
- Ability to meet requirements working with geographically distributed teams.
- Under the general supervision of the Sr. Mgr. Information Technology, the System Administrator is responsible for administration and management of VMWare environments (on premise, small size).
- This individual is a single point of contact for all VMware and O365 related issues and is responsible for identifying, tracking, and resolving technical issues.
- As a liaison with multiple technical teams, this role is critical in providing accurate technical and functional feedback and soliciting input from the end-user community to ensure continuous improvements.
- VMware administration.
- O365/Exchange administration.
- O365/Intune administration.
- Keeping environments up-to-date.
- Participation in new service implementations.
- Writing technical documentation.
- Participating in teams calls.
- Building and fostering strong partnerships with key stakeholders and third parties.
- Documenting and communicating new processes and procedures across multiple teams as needed.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in supporting macOS, and Windows desktops in an enterprise environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in supporting macOS laptops.
- Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and administration.
- Experience in O365 Administration.
- Familiarity with networking protocols and concepts, such as VLANs, routing, and firewalls.
- Experience in applying and maintaining security best practices in hybrid environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Keeping technical documentation up-to-date and knowledge sharing.
