Infosys is seeking a skilled, dedicated and proactive VMware Administrator with strong interpersonal and technical skills to operate a large-scale VMware infrastructure deployed. The candidate will support and maintain hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices. Candidate will also assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration and security best practices, provide documentation, monitor usage, anticipate problems and suggest solutions.
Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Houston, TX, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 11 years of Information Technology experience.
• Candidate should have at least 10 years of hands-on experience with VMware product suite.
• Strong hands-on experience with hypervisor and compute virtualization technologies (VMware, Vxrail, VSphere, vCenter, vCloud, VMware View, vRealize, vSAN, NSX, Microsoft Hyper-V).
• Expertise experience on VMware vSphere upgrade, P2V V2V Migration and Server Migration along with PowerShell scripting.
• Design & Implementation of Disaster Recovery Solution with VMware SRM.
• Strong Troubleshooting skills on ESXi servers using Command Line.
• Expertise experience on Server platforms: Cisco Unified Computing Systems, HP, Dell, IBM server infrastructure.
• Expertise on solving Performance issues and worked in resolving Major outages.
• Expertise in performance analysis and tuning.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated Root Cause Correct Action analysis, report generation, and presentation to customers.
• Ability to correlate incident trends into problem management and execute permanent fixes.
• Should be able to provide capacity planning & sizing.
• Creating Clusters for High Availability (HA) and Distributive Resource Scheduling (DRS).
• Configured Resource Pool, V Motion, Alerts, Alarms, NTP.
• Performing Snapshots, Cloning, Cold Migrations and Hot Migrations.
• Creating Templates from VMs, deploy VMs from templates and allocate resources.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Management.
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience on VMWare Cloud on AWS, HCX, Kubernetes is good to have.
• Analytical and Interpersonal skills.
• Planning and Co-ordination skills.
• Experience with project management.
• Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
