Burial Beer Co is looking for a skilled leader with a strong service industry background to join our Retail team as the Bar Coordinator for our new VISUALS Rooftop Wine & Cocktail Bar opening in Spring 2024. Our offerings will reflect the evolution of our inspirations with immersive experiences through beverage, so extensive experience with elevated service models that include wine and craft cocktail programs is required.

The Job
This position is primarily rooted in service management and execution. To succeed in this role, you have a deep passion for the wide world of beverage, you are happy to split your time between service and administrative work, and you are excited to uphold Burial's core values.
What You'll Do
- Develop beverage program for VISUALS Rooftop Wine & Cocktail bar
- Develop food prep, execution, and presentation guidelines
- Develop communication strategies to integrate brand vision and company goals into VISUALS Rooftop Wine & Cocktail bar operations.
- Serve beverages to guests and uphold beverage, service, and aesthetic standards.
- Educate customers to enhance their experience and monitor guest satisfaction.
- Oversee inventory management, including weekly orders, ABC compliance, and product flow.
- Provide hands-on leadership to staff by scheduling meetings, conducting performance reviews, assisting in hiring and training processes, and provide ongoing training and in-service coaching to enhance knowledge of products, processes and compliance
- Execute budget management and oversight for location
Who We're Looking For
- 3+ years experience in high-volume bar leadership role is a plus
- Craft cocktail and wine program development and execution experience required
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Staff training and development experience
- Ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 50 pounds at a time
- Attention to detail
- Must have open availability
The Details
- Reports To: South Slope General Manager
- Employment Type: Full-Time Hourly + tips for bartending hours, and an admin rate (no tips) for administrative work
- Job Schedule: work schedule varies
