Visual Merchandising Coordinator 1919

SUMMARY
Responsible for ensuring the accurate execution of merchandise presentation plans and priorities. Sets and interprets POGs (product planograms) and displays throughout the store when needed, delivering an inspiring experience to the customer. Inspects POGs and trains store teams within the region on merchandising principles and POG interpretation. Develops action plans and training sessions for underperforming stores in relation to accurate merchandising. Advises corporate teams on best practices in order to establish consistent and accurate merchandising across the fleet. Coaches District Managers on merchandising principles and training techniques. Maintains all unique store installations and experiences. Possesses a keen understanding that effective Visual Merchandising serves as a passive selling tool and is one way JOANN customers perceive the brand as a friendly, clever ally when they are planning their next project. Has an eye for detail, is energetic, organized and detail-oriented. Serves as a sounding board and problem solver for other stores in the district when experiencing Visual Merchandising challenges. Communicates accurately and effectively with management and team members when setting and addressing priorities; provides frequent progress updates. Maintains all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participates in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store
PRINCIPAL DUTIES

• Processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards
• Trains and mentors District Managers, Managers and team members on merchandise guidelines, protection standards and established best methods
• Consults and advises corporate team on POG consistency and compliance strategies
• Informs corporate team of ground truth issues in the field and makes recommendations for improvement
• Travels within market to coach and train other store teams and District Managers on Merchandising principles
• Establishes and recommends action plans to ensure consistent high merchandising standards across fleet
• Provides assistance to customers when needed, utilizing the JOANN friendly, clever ally approach

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Required: BS degree in Visual Merchandising, fashion merchandising, exhibition design, visual communications or similar
• Required: Visual Merchandising - required 2 years of experience
• Preferred: Retail experience - prefer 5 years

EXPECTED AVAILABILITY
Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including nights and weekends
50% travel within market.
Occasional overnights.
Possible flights.

Range of Pay for Position (Final pay rate is based on experience and qualifications): $15.50-$80,000.00
