Robb & Stucky Furniture has a part time Visual Merchandising Assistant position. The Visual Merchandising Assistant assumes responsibility for executing all display requirements presented by the Visual Merchandising Manager, including all lifestyle presentations and settings are properly paired and placed based on the provided floor plan guideline as well as the current slot plan. All displays are accessorized appropriately and in a timely manner. Be fast and effective in transitioning outbound merchandise to incoming merchandise ensuring that the showroom is always appropriately displayed and meets company standard. Creates and fosters positive relationships. Ensures that projects are completed in a timely manner. Week day and Saturday.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Assumes responsibility for assisting with the coordination and execution of the daily activities of the visual presentation of the showroom.
a. Assist with floor moves and execute on schedule.
b. Monitors progress on projects to ensure that established parameters are followed.
c. Responsible for working with the warehouse staff and ensuring that all furniture is appropriately assembled, shelving is installed when required, and all furniture is leveled at the time of setup.
e. Ensure that the showroom is safe for coworkers and customers, aisles and pathways are clear of tripping hazards to the best of your ability.
2. Assumes responsibility for providing effective strategic solutions for store displays.
a. Proactive solutions for daily unexpected display disruptions. Replacing pictures and accessories in a timely manner. Fake out areas as necessary when items are sold off or removed from the showroom floor.
b. Recognize and be aware of priority areas that must always look outstanding, front entrance, major focal points, and galleries/boutiques.
c. Be flexible and willing to address unexpected disruptions, react quickly with quality solutions.
3. Effectively Assist Visual Display Manager and Department personnel, ensuring optimal performance.
a. Provides leadership to area personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication.
Physical Strength: Moderate to Heavy Work; Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 lbs.frequently, and/or 15 lbs. regularly.
