Job Duties
The primary objective of this unit (ITU) is to deliver quality application and web development and support services through effective planning, project initiation, business analysis, requirements definition, systems design, systems development, systems testing, systems implementation, on-going maintenance and enhancement, effective problem identification and resolution, production service, and systems administration support tasks to ensure computer applications will assist the VADOC in achieving its day-to-day mission.
Position provides interdisciplinary support to the UX+CS team's products and projects. Position is responsible for designing both interactive and print collateral, authoring UX artifacts, and supporting website development.
Minimum Qualifications
Considerable experience and expertise in website and interactive design including desktop and mobile. Experience with print design and working with print vendors. Experience creating UX artifacts (sitemaps, journey maps, wireframes, user personas) Experience with website development. Experience working on an interdisciplinary creative team. Considerable knowledge of and competency using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign. Knowledge of web, interactive, and user-interface design. Basic knowledge/understanding of web development including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Additional Considerations
Advanced knowledge of and competency using: Adobe XD, Balsamiq, and/or Figma. Advanced knowledge and ability in authoring UX artifacts. Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Basic knowledge of and competency using Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Experience working in an agency environment.
