About NorthStar Care

NorthStar Care is a next-generation virtual substance use disorder treatment program rooted in technology, science, and compassion. Founded by an addiction medicine physician who has successfully treated more than 120,000 patients and an internationally-renowned data scientist, NorthStar Care provides medication and nutrient therapy, anonymous VR group support, and engagement with a six-member care team. The year-long program costs less than one month of rehab and removes barriers to treatment including judgment, stigma, and the need to leave family or career behind.

Overview

NorthStar Care is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Visual Designer to assist in the creation of engaging multimedia content across a variety of mediums and uses. This individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot and adjust quickly and seamlessly. A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a design or marketing role is required.

This position is remote, save for a weekly/bi-weekly in person creative meeting/working session with the Director of Digital Marketing who resides in Lexington, KY. This position will report directly to NorthStar Care’s Director of Digital Marketing.

Responsibilities

CREATE – Create engaging on-brand content for a variety of business development and marketing needs such as social media posts, website assets, email marketing, company communications, and visual resources, as well as patient and clinical materials. Working understanding of printing requirements (color spaces, formatting, etc.) and experience designing materials to be used across a multitude of platforms and media types.

COLLABORATE - Collaborate with marketing and design team to determine creative needs, understand upcoming opportunities, create backlog content library, and align with company goals.

GROW – Assist in executing social media strategy, engaging users, and growing our overall presence.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION - BS degree in design, marketing, or a related field (preferred)
  • EXPERIENCE - Demonstrable experience creating detailed content in a variety of formats; graphic design, web design, photo, video, etc.
  • DESIGN – Thorough understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud with demonstratable experience in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, and XD. Knowledge of Canva, Figma, Adobe Audition, and Adobe Acrobat is a plus.
  • SOCIAL MEDIA - Familiarity with social media platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • CONTENT MANAGEMENT – Understanding of content management systems and general website maintenance, preferably with WordPress.
  • TECHNICAL - Working knowledge of HTML and CSS front-end development and constraints is a plus.
  • ADDITIONAL

Strong creative drive and design skills. Ability to effectively design new content utilizing an existing design aesthetic for seamless integration.

Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in digital media, design, UX/UI, etc.
