Position Title: Visiting Faculty - School of Computing

Summary:

The School of Computing at Grand Valley State University invites qualified individuals with a strong interest in teaching computer science or information systems courses, to apply for a non-tenure one-year Visiting Faculty position beginning Fall 2023.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to teach undergraduate courses in one or more computing topics including programming languages in Python, introduction to computing and productivity tools, and core computing courses.

The School of Computing consists of a very collegial faculty with a strong emphasis on collaboration and cross-disciplinary instruction offering computer science, information systems, information technology, cybersecurity, data science, and medical and bioinformatics programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.  Visit https://www.gvsu.edu/computing/  for more information on our School and programs.

Required Qualifications and Education:

  • Candidates for this visiting position should have an earned graduate degree (PhD or MS) in computer science or related discipline, and a demonstrated record of successful teaching.
