The Computer Science Department at Hamilton College invites applications for a three-year position at the rank of Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor, beginning July 1, 2023.

We seek candidates with expertise in an applied area of computer science systems (such as graphics, networks, security, programming languages, or operating systems) or artificial intelligence (such as natural language processing, computer vision, or machine learning).

We expect candidates to be able to participate across the curriculum from introductory courses in computing to the senior program.

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their experience in teaching or working with diverse student populations.

Your cover letter should address the ways in which you would further the College's goal of building a diverse and inclusive educational environment.

The position requires a Ph.
D.

in Computer Science or closely related field, though we will also consider candidates who still have their dissertation to complete.

The teaching load for this position is five courses per year.
