Form of workVirtual Care Summer Non-Clinical Internship:
The Virtual Care team intern would learn about the Virtual Care department and potentially have an opportunity to work alongside the Virtual Care Technicians. An intern would work closely with the Health Informatics Specialist and Nurse Informatics Specialist to provide support to clinicians during implementation of Virtual Care initiatives or to complete tasks in preparation for implementations. Additionally, there is a great deal of data crunching that occurs for the Virtual Care department and their associated initiatives. Virtual Care is a new field of healthcare and would broaden an intern's understanding of this delivery care model. This team would be well suited for a student who has experience in data analysis/visualization and an interest in interacting with nurses and patient care technicians.
Must be current undergraduate college student or graduate college student. Specific educational focus or degree may be preferred depending on the hosting department of internship. Specific license and/or certification may be preferred depending on the hosting department of internship. GPA of 3.0 or above Submission of Cover Letter Resume and Letter of Recommendation. Other qualifications may vary by department of internship.
