Embark Behavioral Health is looking for an Virtual Academic Support tutor and group leader who is committed to our mission of reducing adolescent and young adult anxiety, depression and suicide while providing our clients with education support while in program. Embark operates facilities across the US that support adolescents, young adults and their families by offering a full continuum of care from outpatient to residential and stabilization and assessment programs. Our Virtual IOP is a critical part of our strategy to increase access to life-saving mental health treatments for families with insurance.
As an Embark Virtual Academic Lead, you will be supported by an experienced Executive Director, Clinical Team, and Administrative Support that are all focused on the mission to facilitate lasting positive change for young people and their families. Applicants must have availability during group hours which will be earlier in the day in the summer months (9am – 2pm PST / 12pm – 5pm EST) and later in the evenings during the school months (1pm – 7pm PST / 4pm – 10pm EST).

What do you bring to this position?
- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
- Experience with online assessments around education areas of focus for clients.
- Ability to produce an education plan and work towards goals weekly with clients.
- Experience working with Special Education population, particularly those with Attention- Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders
- Experience keeping engagement and participation with small groups (up to 8)
- Ability to lead groups around time management, studying skills, communication skills, and executive functioning
- Prior experience with one on one tutoring support for ages 12-22
- A desire to facilitate client growth through a team approach, working with other care providers.
- Experience with mental health modalities (DBT, TF-CBT), is a plus but not required
- Ability to present professionally and work remote in a private space.
- Ability to pass a state background check.
