Village Cosmetologist

Overview: Provide beauty services for community residents (readily customer base of 500+) in accordance with the resident handbook. Reports to Salon Supervisor.

• All supplies needed are provided by The Village
• 40-60% Commission rate per sale (based on experience)

Essential Job Functions:

• Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends.
• Provide hairstyling services for residents including cut, wash & style, color, and permanent wave.
• Provide basic manicure services including polishing and nail clipping.
• Provide tweezing and waxing of facial hair.
• Keep workstations and salons clean, and sanitize tools such as scissors, nail clippers and combs in accordance with the Department of Professional Regulation.
• Schedule resident appointments.
• Ability to work with senior population and adjust to their needs.
• Maintain clean and professional appearance.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Attend departmental education and all required in-service training/education.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident/family and facility information.
• Provide quality customer service in all interactions with residents, guests and staff.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current, valid cosmetology license.
• One year of experience as a hairstylist preferred.
• Experience in working with senior population preferred.
