Job Summary

The internship position will expose the student to the communications aspect of working at an international airport and with the airline industry. The intern will receive hands-on experience in communications activities, with a core focus on all aspects of video storytelling and production: storyboarding a video, shooting b-roll and interviews, script development, editing and post-production. The position will also assist with branding all forms of owned, earned, and paid media (advertising, public relations, events, social media, website development/deployment, digital marketing, etc.).

Here is how the Video Production Intern will help:

  • Create content for the Airport Authority’s news platform, Blue Sky News, ACAA social media channels, internal communications and content supporting the authority’s key initiatives.
  • Assist with storyboarding videos, production shoots, shooting b-roll for videos and editing multiple versions of a video.
  • Assist with developing animation elements for videos.
  • Provide product support for social media, website content and other video projects that align with ACAA’s mission.
  • Identify ways to leverage video content.
  • Contribute to communication/media strategies.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Requirements to apply for role of Video Production Intern are:

  • Second year undergraduate from an accredited four-year college or university in Communications, Journalism or Video Production/ Multimedia
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.


We also hope that candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in most cases:

  • Knowledge of Video Production, including cameras, audio and lighting.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, After Effects and Audition.
  • Eye and ear for must capture video; understanding of what it takes to produce and edit a high-quality video.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, and handle multiple functions simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Adobe Photoshop all a plus.
