HarperCollins Christian Publishing, the world’s leading Christian publisher, is seeking a highly skilled Video Producer to lead a range of video, audio, and photography projects for a dynamic production team. This role involves hands-on video production and post-production, utilizing skills in editing, graphics, and animation to fulfill the creative vision of internal clients and saleable video products. The specialist will work alongside senior production staff to manage equipment and studio spaces, conduct in-studio and on-location interviews, and ensure the integrity of the video archives. Expertise in photography and a readiness to travel for projects are also required.

Applicants must supply several examples of video projects that demonstrate their competency in producing video content. Examples must demonstrate proficiency in camera work, shot composition, lighting, and audio, as well as post-production skills including multi-cam editing, b-roll integration, graphics, audio design, and color correction.

• Manage projects assigned from various departmental personnel to advise/consult concerning video, audio, and photography.
• Hands on video production and post-production for video projects.
• Ability to set up and shoot an interview, in studio and on location.
• Video editing, with graphics, titles, effects, audio, and animation according to the needs of internal clients
• Work with Senior Producer to manage video equipment and internal studio spaces.
• Provide corporate and book focused photography as needed.
• Ability to travel to film projects when needed.
• Manage video archive, ensuring all relevant data files are properly backed up.

Knowledge:

• Complete working knowledge of professional video cameras, including the Black Magic suite of cameras.
• Working knowledge of location video production, including location audio and lighting.
• Working knowledge of set design and art direction.
• Extensive working knowledge of Adobe Premiere, and all related video post-production software, including Photoshop, Media Encoder, and After Effects.
• DVD authoring knowledge preferred. 

Work Experience: 3-5 years combined experience in video production and video post-production.

Education:  BA in Video Production or comparable experience in video production required.

Industry Knowledge:  Post-production software, graphic design concepts, professional level camera and lighting systems for video and photography.

Skills:

• Proficiency with Mac systems and Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Premiere, Media Encoder, After Effects.
• Proficiency in videography and general knowledge of lighting gear and functionality is required.
• Ability to learn how to set up and conduct multi-site live webcasting events.
• Ability to fly a drone would be a valuable skill to possess.
