Job Description

LVMH Fragrance Brands US + Canada is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Vice President, Sales, Education + Consumer Experience to lead our sales strategy, and consumer engagement in the North American market. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through the development of our teams, client + retailer relationships in the field and total organization. Creating opportunities for animation that will ultimately build not just brand awareness but brand enthusiasm and customer loyalty.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Leadership:

  • Provide visionary leadership to the sales team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture that ensures alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive and innovative sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share goals.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels to expand market presence.
  • Lead the field development and execution of sales plans, ensuring alignment with the company's overall business objectives, operational budgets, and allocation of necessary resources for the field sales organization.
  • Manage the ongoing execution of the sales strategy and make necessary adjustments to ensure sales achievement through the direction of all regional sales personnel.

Planning, Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Oversees the seasonal planning by region, door and accounts once Sales Admin provides guidance to achieve metrics and maximize business.
  • Use analytics to determine distribution channels, Retail Sales policies, and sales force structure.
  • Keep senior leadership informed of sales department activities and outcomes, including key results vs. budget, retail performance, ranking, market trends, etc.
  • Control budgets and expense items in all Sales, Education and Events-related departments.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior leadership.

Other Internal Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, sales administration, and other cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to market initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop consumer engagement initiatives, determine promotions frequency and corresponding advertising and promotional actions.
  • Partner with Marketing on the development of a Sales Training strategy to support sales executives, Selling Specialists and demonstrators actions by strengthening their knowledge of brands’ products and selling techniques.
  • Partner with brand President on internal training and development needs across NA organization.
  • Partner with Human Resources to recruit, hire, educate, motivate, and coach all sales personnel to develop a cohesive team environment and to identify/coach candidates for promotion.
  • Provide input into product development based on market feedback and sales trends.

Sales Team and Brand Development:

  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team capable of achieving ambitious targets.
  • Foster a collaborative and empowering work environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Budget and collaborate with direct reports on the development of individual departments’ budget and key initiatives.
  • Work closely with President NA and Director of Education on organizations, development with special focus on communication, team building, and leveling up.

Sales Operations:

  • Maintain control over field sales expenses, allocations, promo and new product sales, and proper account inventory management.

RELEVANT SCOPE MEASURES

Responsible for retail results through the management of allocations, promotional spending, and the control of travel and entertainment expenses.

Work within Corporate guidelines to:

  • Supervise and support Regional Directors and Director of Education to develop effective sales, education and events team development strategies that drive business long term sustainable growth.
  • Identify internal talent to benchmark for succession planning and coach behaviors as needed.
  • Assess structure of each area to determine headcount, budget, and talent allocation.
  • Work closely with leadership on 3-year plan needs to achieve above.

ORANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE – REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: President, North America

Positions Supervised: National Sales Directors, Director of Education and Events

Key Internal Partners:

Human Resources, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Education, Sales Administration, Finance

External Partners: HQ, Store Sr. Leadership

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Based out of the New York Corporate office, 598 Madison Avenue.
  • Travel varies by territory and can be extensive.
  • Hours of work must be flexible to meet job objectives; the role requires frequent travel to key markets, client locations, and industry events.
Qualifications
  • Proven track record of success in senior sales and education leadership roles within the luxury goods or fragrance industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high-performance sales and education team. Education development experience a must.
  • Strong understanding of the North American luxury fragrance market, both US and Canada leadership a must.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel frequently.

While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range of $225k-$260k.
