Job description

The Council for Professional Recognition is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader for the role of Vice President of Strategic Alliances. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the ideal candidate will drive growth initiatives and forge strategic partnerships to advance the Council's mission and vision. This highly visible leadership role will require a candidate with a deep understanding of ECE systems of funding, public policy, service delivery and workforce development at a federal and state level, experience building relationships as a trusted advisor, excellent communication skills and demonstrated performance in a leadership role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth and strategic partnership strategy to expand and sustain the reach and impact of the Council and its offerings.
  • Establish systems and processes to ensure support to all stakeholder groups and a reputation for excellence in thought partnership.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including federal and state ECE system leaders, institutions, and other relevant ECE community members.
  • Identify and pursue new partnerships, opportunities for impact and revenue streams aligned with the Council's mission and values.
  • Manage all aspects of the strategic partnership process including formalizing agreements, adhering to contractual obligations, and coordinating internal and external teams to ensure execution and accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal subject matter experts, to enhance existing impact programs and create innovative solutions to achieve organizational targets.
  • Partner with the Brand Experience and Marketing Team to develop and execute marketing and outreach campaigns to increase awareness and engagement among Council stakeholders.
  • Build credibility by staying abreast of industry trends and communicating frequently with external stakeholders via webinars, presentations, panels, round table discussions and social media.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Manage departmental budget and monitor and report on key performance indicators, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure goals are met.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, events, and forums, as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure adherence to Council policies, procedures, and timelines.
  • Learn and sustain knowledge of all Council programs and services.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all Council stakeholders.
  • Work with and across departments to develop and maintain collaborative team relationships.
    • Establish an annual professional development plan with goals that are monitored on a quarterly basis.
    • Other duties as assigned.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
    • Experience:
    • 10+ years of work experience.
  • Experience with early childhood education field, credentialing, public sector, non-profits, educational institutions, or government agencies is a plus.
  • Supervisory and people management experience, managing individuals and cross collaborative teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and interpret data for decision making.
  • Demonstrated success in a remote environment.
  • Experience in senior leadership roles and communicating with executives.
