Description:

The Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management will provide leadership and oversight of the national Revenue Cycle function. The Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management will identify how best to use system-wide resources with the goal of optimizing reimbursement and maintaining compliance. The Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management will drive the standardization of Revenue Cycle workflows, expansion, growth and ongoing refinement of all programs and initiatives to support the financial goals as well as business and organizational changes of a large, growing physician group practice.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the operations of all Solaris Affiliate Revenue Cycle Management departments, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives.
  • Provide strategic thought leadership across the Revenue Cycle Management continuum in collaboration with Affiliate COOs and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain knowledge of Revenue Cycle best practices that support the ever-changing needs of a growing national medical group.
  • Provide knowledge transfer, project management, facilitation, analytical support, and communications, depending upon the nature of the initiative.
  • Direct, manage, and implement programs and strategies to ensure efficient operations of Revenue Cycle to generate optimal cash flow that support operations goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Provides consultative advice and direction to Affiliate Revenue Cycle Management departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations regarding billing procedures.
  • Establish effective internal controls regarding all functional workflows.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration between the Affiliate Revenue Cycle Management Team and serve as a positive role model for Revenue Cycle.
  • Effectively manages financial and human capital resources.
  • Ability to analyze data, perform a benchmark comparisons of industry standard Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to Solaris Health.

KNOWLEDGE | SKILLS | ABILITIES

  • Strong background in Revenue Cycle Operations within a healthcare related organization.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage Revenue Cycle Operations project plans and to communicate needs of plan/budget to key players and senior management.
  • Demonstrated leadership progression experience in Revenue Cycle Operations.
  • Strong Knowledge of third-party and insurance company operating procedures, regulations and billing requirements and government reimbursement programs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to interface effectively internally with all levels of staff and externally with a wide range of people including physicians and office staff.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills are required with the ability to effectively lead a broad range of audiences.
  • Solid management skills with a high degree of personal accountability, energy and successful experience leading and motivating teams.
  • Must be a critical thinker, able to logically evaluate all aspects of situations and problems, to arrive at optimal solutions.
  • Ability to lead hands-on with the day-to-day activities while also thinking strategically long-term.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field strongly preferred or in place of degree, college coursework and 15+ years of relevant Healthcare experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

3-5 years of experience leading Revenue Cycle teams in Healthcare with Bachelor's degree or 15+ years of relevant Healthcare experience with college coursework.


REQUIRED TRAVEL

  • Travel is required primarily within market.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
