The Objective of the Position
The Vice President of Business Development, is a leader that is responsible for developing strategies and
operations to deliver best-in-class services (i.e., consulting, implementation, and educational services) to help
customers accelerate their initiatives and transformation. This VP drives to build and scale a service business, in
a bold, fast-moving, transparent, and values-led organization to enable customer and company success. The goal
is to drive sustainable financial growth through forging strong relationships with current and future clients,
seeking new opportunities, responding to RFP’s. The Vice President of Business Development will be the front
of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.
Success as a VP of Business Development takes strong business and project management skills, creativity and
ingenuity in developing successful strategies and demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
VP of Business Development Responsibilities
Responsible for seeking out new business opportunities for the company.
Develop, coordinate, and implement plans designed to increase existing business and capture new opportunities.
Conduct research to identify new markets and client needs.
Developing proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for qualifications, estimates, etc.
Once new business has been secured, the VP will work with other department heads and staff to coordinate
account startup and transition service or product delivery.
Maintain current client relationships and identify areas for growth.
Deliver presentations, conduct seminars, and participate in meetings with clients, external vendors, or advisors
Update/Maintain CRM for all current and potential client communication.
Develop and submit RFP’s.
Collaborate with the sales team to ensure requirements are met, such as sales, numbers and revenue goals.
Provide professional housing consulting services to clients.
Provide strategic management and leadership to Business Development.
Organizational development and marketing divisions.

Education/Experience Required
10+ years experience within the Federally Subsidized Housing Industry
Technical Expert in the Federally Subsidized Housing Industry
2-5 years of experience working in corporate sales, marketing or a related field
2-3 years of experience working with Government RFP’s.
