Overview:
This position reports to the Senior VP, Supply Chain and Sourcing. This role is remote and can require travel to our corporate offices in Lancaster, PA.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement Leadership
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with Graham Packaging’s overall business objectives.
  • Lead a team of talented procurement professionals in sourcing, negotiating, and contracting for direct, indirect material and services.
  • Oversee all aspects of the procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, risk management, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to optimize procurement spend and achieve significant year-over-year EBITDA and working capital improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams across the organization to ensure alignment and support for procurement initiatives.
Sustainability
  • Directly manage Graham Recycling Center. (Plant Manager of GRC reports to this role)
  • Lead development of a global PCR (Post Consumer Resin) supply strategies as part of Graham Packaging’s Long Range Planning process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate and advance company-wide ESG agenda to reduce footprints.
  • Participation in multiple industry organizations that aim to keep plastics products viewed as the right packaging choice for sustainable reasons.
  • Take active leadership role in industry organization be a board member, active chair leader of a group, or head up a special task force agenda item.
Building a World-Class Team
  • Invest in team’s growth and development, including mentorship programs, provide opportunities for skill development and training.
  • Build platform to support continuous growth for talents in the organization, including career paths and succession planning.
  • Create a culture of open communication and collaboration.
Customer Interactions
  • Provide regular market updates to major customers, advising them on forecasts and assisting in setting their budgets for the upcoming year.
  • Directly negotiate pricing with customers for fixed price programs, BCP programs and supply of PCR materials.
  • Manage customer reports for PCR content, inventory reports, and to facilitate new material qualifications.

Supplier Relationship Excellence
  • Maintain highest level of integrity. Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement regulations and ethical standards.
  • Establish and manage strategic relationship with key suppliers, leveraging spend cross all business units to negotiate favorable contracts and drive value creation.
  • Proactively identify and address potential supplier risks, ensuring a resilient and reliable supply chain by evaluating and executing Business Continuity Plans.
Drive Continuous Improvement and Process Excellence
  • Lead the development and implementation of technology solutions to optimize procurement processes and data analytics capabilities.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in procurement and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Work with other Private Equity owned entities to collaborate and leverage spend and take consolidated bids to market.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of experience in a senior procurement leadership role in complex, global organization
  • Plastics industry / Resin purchasing experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and inspire high-performing teams constructively.
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills… collaborative while being able to hold stakeholders accountable.
  • Passion for developing talent.

The standard compensation for this role is $175,000 - $291,600. Salary offers will be determined based on final candidate qualifications, experience, skillset, and other relevant factors.

Compensation Statement: The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience. Benefits Statement: Benefits include medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in the company’s 401K Employee Saving Plan and may participate in its Employee Wellness Program.
