SUMMARY:
The Vice President and General Manager will have complete P&L and sales growth responsibility for the Vi-Jon dry goods bath and personal care business across all channels of trade. This position will be tasked with growing and expanding the current portfolio of dry goods bath and personal care products and increasing points of distribution for those products across new and existing customers. The position will develop and rely on a co-manufacturing network to support and grow this business. This position provides critical leadership for the Company and will report directly to the President.
Essential Duties:
- Successfully develop and execute Vi-Jon's strategy to meet performance goals and continuously drive business forward.
- Drive new product development by leveraging the research and development resources at Consumer Product Partners, LLC or other co-manufacturing partners.
- Effectively develop and manage Vi-Jon's portfolio of dry good bath and personal care products.
- Refine existing product solutions (if needed) and judiciously develop new product solutions aligned to market needs and opportunities.
- Examine existing dashboard metrics to determine if in line with the winning strategy and adjust as necessary.
- Actively work to build one-on-one professional relationships with internal and external customers based on trust, respect, transparency and integrity.
- Oversee a small portfolio of real estate located in the St. Louis metropolitan area and assess sales or other offers to monetize those assets.
- Ability to work independently with a strong sense of urgency.
- Effective in Board of Directors communication in profiling current Business state and future risks and opportunities.
- Continuously improve the sales and marketing processes, go-to-market strategy, messaging and demand generation.
- Leverage intellectual property licenses from UpLift Brands, LLC and Consumer Product Partners, LLC to improve product margins and profitability.
- Develop, achieve, and manage the Vi-Jon budget. Analyze and control expenditures and liabilities of Vi-Jon to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Review, understand and analyze market and competitive performance.
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
- Manage both the revenue and cost elements of Vi-Jon.
- Evaluate appropriate information to forecast the return on future business transactions.
- Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in, business, or professional field of study. MBA or master's degree in business, finance or accounting preferred.
- Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience as a leader in a buyer/sales relationship with a broad business background that includes product forecasting and understanding customer margin/profitability data. Experience in the Personal Care Products and Health and Beauty Care is preferred.
