VFX Artist (Roblox)

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the development team to design and create high-quality visual effects for Roblox games.
• Develop a variety of real-time particle effects, animations, and shaders that elevate the overall visual quality and impact of gameplay.
• Create and optimize VFX assets to ensure optimal performance within the Roblox environment.
• Work collaboratively with designers and artists to align VFX with the game's artistic vision and gameplay mechanics.
• Iterate on VFX designs based on feedback from the creative team and playtesting results.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and tools related to VFX in Roblox

Requirements

• Proven experience as a VFX Artist with a focus on Roblox game development.
• Strong understanding of real-time particle systems, shaders, and animations.
• Ability to create visually stunning and optimized VFX that enhance the gaming experience.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and timing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for gaming and a desire to contribute to the creation of immersive virtual worlds on the Roblox platform.

Nice to have:

• Experience working on Roblox games with a significant player base.
• Knowledge of Roblox Studio’s scripting language, Lua.
• Proficiency in other relevant 2D or 3D software for asset creation.
• A portfolio showcasing a range of VFX work in Roblox games.

Additional Information:

The base salary range for a full-time position is $60,000-$90,000 USD + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
