Veterinary Technician

Bay Breeze Animal Clinic is searching for a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our team! This is a great opportunity for skilled Veterinary Technicians who are seeking an excellent work-life balance in the Texas Gulf Coast!

3+ years of current, hands-on experience as a Veterinary Technician at a small animal clinic is strongly desired. Licensed technicians or candidates with surgery and anesthesia experience will be given priority.

The ideal candidate:

• 3+ years of Veterinary Technician experience
• Confident in technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, surgical assistance, and anesthetic monitoring.
• Friendly personality and positive attitude
• Committed to a career in veterinary medicine with interest in growth and ongoing training

Primary responsibilities and experience:

• Medication administration
• SQ/IM injections
• Blood draws and IV catheter placement
• Surgical assistance
• Dental Prophylaxis
• Training and mentoring
• Anesthetic induction and monitoring
• Lab work
• Pharmacy duties
• General hospital cleaning

• Compensation $16-$19 BOE

Although our practice is fast-paced, we don’t lose sight of our team members and offer a great work-life balance—our team is regularly out by 5:30 p.m.! Our hospital is well-equipped for surgery and we’re lucky to have clients who generally do whatever it takes to keep their pets healthy. Although we are not certified, we follow AAHA standards and have tools to perform laser therapy, cardiac and abdominal ultrasound, dental x-ray, full mouth x-ray, digital radiology, and more!
