Integrative Ophthalmology for Pets is a small privately-owned veterinary ophthalmology clinic in Los Angeles, CA. We are fast-paced, technology-heavy clinic and our staff consists of an great mix of people who work well together despite various differences.

Our mission is to create a balanced and preventative ocular health care plan based on a thorough ophthalmic examination and recognition of each patient as a whole and unique individual.
We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional care for our animal patients and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. As a Veterinary Technician Assistant, you will work closely with our skilled veterinarians and other staff with a focus on ophthalmic care and overall health.
Shifts are Monday through Friday, typically from 8 am to 4:45 pm but that is subject to change with mutual approval.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and licensed technicians in the examination and treatment of ophthalmic cases.
- Prepare examination rooms and surgical suites for procedures.
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations, tests, and treatments.
- Administer medications and eye drops as directed by the veterinarian.
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures, such as measuring tear production and assessing intraocular pressure.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with client communication.
- Clean and sterilize surgical and diagnostic equipment.
- Provide post-operative care, including monitoring patients and administering prescribed treatments.
- Educate clients on at-home care and post-operative instructions.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment.

Our staff consists of an eclectic mix of individuals who work well together despite our various differences.
