What we're looking for: Someone with tenacity, passion, and leadership skills to join our team as a Veterinary TechnologyProgram Director at our Stockton campus.

Summary: The position is responsible for oversight of their academic program(s) including activities related to the student experience and student success such as developing and implementing retention strategies, managing active students, students on leave of absences, NS/TO and students on externship. The position is responsible for management and support of faculty assigned to teach in their programs, managing externship quality and number of sites and/or clinical site quality and volume. Academic quality is a direct responsibility for the position. Areas related to academic quality include, but are not limited to, conducting classroom observations and providing feedback to faculty, participating in program review process, assessing, reporting, analyzing student learning outcome data and developing improvement plans associated with SLO data and analysis. The position is responsible for cascading pertinent information to faculty and holding program-specific training to their faculty teams. The position may be required to devote required time to classroom teaching. The remaining percentage of their assignment will be devoted specifically to providing administrative oversight of the program.

What We Offer: The targeted starting pay range for this position is between $78,000 - $90,000 year. Our benefits program for full-time colleagues includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as flexible spending and health savings accounts. You will accrue two to three weeks of paid vacation in your first five years with eleven paid holidays. We offer state-compliant sick leave, disability insurance, and company-paid life insurance. Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree as a Veterinary Technician from an AVMA accredited program OR
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA CVTEA or CVMA accredited program
  • RVT or State Veterinarian license or DEA License
  • 2 years field experience & 2 years of teaching experience
    OR
  • 2 years of supervisory or previous Program Director experience
