Job Responsibilities:
- Checking patients in, discharging patients, invoicing
- Provide customer service such as greeting customers, answering questions, processing incoming patients, and handling payments
- Answer phone calls which may include answering questions, scheduling appointments and recording messages for doctors and staff
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and email
- Update and file patient charts
- Enter data into computerize billing program
- Retrieve prescriptions
- Assist with pet supply purchases such as food, supplements, and grooming items
- Maintain the cleanliness of waiting room

- Assist with animal restraint during examinations and procedures
- Provide basic animal care, including feeding, walking, and administering medication
- Perform animal catheterization under the supervision of a veterinarian
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Skills:
- Proficient in animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both animals and staff
- Knowledge of animal care practices, including feeding, grooming, and exercise
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology to effectively communicate with clients and veterinarians
- Experience in pet grooming is a plus
- Ability to handle equine patients is a plus
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for maintaining a clean and sterile environment
- Familiarity with kennel operations and procedures
