Veterinary Hospital Attendant

As a Veterinary Hospital Attendant, you are an invaluable piece of the overall success of our hospital. Our ideal candidate must be polite at all times, able to multitask, flexible and must be able to think independently. A valid drivers license and reliable transportation are required.

This opening is intended for a part-time position. Experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate. The ideal candidate must be willing and able to work a schedule which includes shifts every Monday and Wednesday each week, and one to two Saturdays a month. Flexibility with your schedule and good attendance is a must. Part time benefits package includes uniform allowance, 401k plan and discounted pet care for your own pets.

Responsibilities are included but not limited to:

Facility

1. Help oversee/ shop for hospital- must have valid drivers license and reliable vehicle

2. Stock exam rooms/monitor

3. Ensure hospital is opened/closed by using check off lists

Cleaning

1. Maintain a clean parking lot and front of the hospital

2. Clean and stock rooms for supplies after every appointment

3. Maintain laundry

4. Assist with cleaning and stocking in surgical department

Patient care

1. Work with Doctors and techs to help properly restrain animals when needed

2. Help walk, feed and clean cages of hospitalized and surgical patients as needed

3. Maintain open communication between multiple departments regarding patients and room progress

4. Maintain and monitor patient schedule and help assist the flow of the day

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
