Veterinary Receptionist
Duties:
- Greet and welcome clients and their pets as they arrive at the veterinary clinic
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for veterinary services
- Collect and update client information, including pet records and medical history
- Assist with filing and organizing paperwork
- Provide basic information to clients about veterinary procedures, services, and fees
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Handle financial transactions, including processing payments and issuing invoices
- Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth flow of appointments and efficient client service
Skills:
- Animal care: Knowledge of basic animal care practices and ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
- Veterinary assistant: Understanding of veterinary procedures and ability to assist veterinarians or technicians as needed
- Animal handling: Proficiency in safely restraining animals for medical examinations or procedures
- Dog handling: Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments with confidence and control
