Position Title: Veterinary Assistant

Snapshot of the Role: Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Assistant or a Veterinary Assistant in training, we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:

• Providing support to the entire veterinary hospital staff 
• Ensure there is a clean, comfortable environment for patients and clients 
• Ensuring that treatment areas and exam rooms remain fully stocked 
• Restrain animals during examinations or vaccinations
• Keep accurate records and logs
• Sterilize equipment
• Observing patients for obvious signs of health concerns and reporting any findings to senior staff
• Plus so much more!

Compensation: Starting at $16.50 -  $17.50 hour. Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available. 

Schedule:Full-time opportunity, flexible scheduling. Typically, 4-day work week, from 8.5-10.5/hrs. with rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications for Veterinary Assistant Position:

• Previous experience or training/education working in a veterinary facility preferred.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds repeatedly throughout the day 
• Must be able to bend and kneel repeatedly
• Must be able to stand for a long of period of time

• Excellent communications skills.
