We are looking for a full-time/part-time/ relief veterinarian for the practice. We are in search of a motivated, energetic, and personable candidate who is comfortable with both medical and surgical workups and procedures. Emergency experience would also be helpful but not required. Because the clinic is a small busy practice the candidate must possess a positive attitude and be result oriented. The compensation package will be very competitive and will be based on experience and abilities. Pay is base salary plus production. ($150,000-$200,000) The package will also include a 10-day paid vacation, medical/dental insurance, liability insurance, 1-year free room and boarding, PTO. New graduates welcome.
The Frankford Animal clinic is a successful Low-cost community based small practice, with a family friendly atmosphere. We have been serving our loving fur babies, dedicated clientele and community for almost 45 years. The clinic is located here in Philadelphia, PA, and our mission is to provide the highest quality of veterinary care to the widest possible spectrum of pet owners in our community, with a mind toward keeping our services affordable for all.
Average day consists of 50% annuals and 50% sick visits. In house labs, x-ray, ultrasound and willingness to expand further. Surgeries depend on doctors' comfortability. Surgical opportunities consist of Ohe, Neuters, Cystotomies, FB, Amputations, Mass removals, lacerations etc...

Duties:
- Diagnose and treat animals with illnesses or injuries
- Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as needed
- Conduct regular check-ups and vaccinations for pets
- Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on nutrition, behavior, and overall pet care
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to ensure quality care for animals
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Valid state veterinary license
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and diseases
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and staff members
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals
- Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and composure
Note: Practice management, dog training, and pet grooming are not directly related to the duties of a veterinarian. Therefore, they are not included in the job description.
