What you’ll do

The Vendor Management Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Director, Strategy and Vendor Initiatives as we qualify, analyze and manage relationships with HPI Preferred and 3rd Party Vendors. This role will be a member of the Business Development team and will report to the Director, Strategy and Vendor Initiatives.

In this role, you’ll also:

• Assist in managing overall operations related to existing and new point solutions, as well as other business partners.
• Assist in managing day-to-day interaction with existing point solutions and business partners, including direct management of select vendors.
• Assist in periodically analyzing the point solutions to support recommendations to senior leadership about ongoing strategic alliances and to identify new point solutions to support client and business growth.
• Assist in managing the implementation process for specific Vendors.
• Manages and updates Vendor Information across HPI systems and applications and communicates Vendor information and changes as appropriate.
• Assists in educating sales, account management, and operational staff on any new strategic alliances.
• Utilizes standard templates to develop appropriate documentation supporting Vendor Management including but not limited to process documents.
• Represent the company at various meetings or conferences as appropriate.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years related work experience.
• Experience managing vendors and/or clients in a self-funded health insurance environment preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Experience with CRM systems, including Insightly or Salesforce a plus.
• Worked with planning / implementation software including Smartsheet and Sharepoint a plus.
• TPA operational experience a plus.
