As our Vendor Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating new contractor and vendor relationships.You will be at the forefront of growing our home maintenance marketplace by sourcing, identifying and engaging new contractors (our “Pros”) to join our platform to perform maintenance work on a contractor basis in our markets. This role involves significant outreach, recruiting, and relationship-building, making it perfect for someone with a background in sales, or recruitment of tradespeople or contractors.

Prospecting:
- Identify and research potential contractors in a target market
- Develop and execute effective outreach strategies to generate interest and leads
- Effectively qualify leads that would be best for our platform
Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective contractors through various communication channels (phone calls, emails)
- Clearly articulate the benefits of joining our platform and overcome objections
Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market and pricing dynamics, and competitor activities – you will help us to hone our value proposition and pitch over time
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve acquisition strategies
Ideal Background & Skillset:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. (Preferred but not Necessary)
- 3 years of sales or relationship management experience, especially with SMBs or tradespeople
- Possess strong confidence in cold-calling, prospecting, objection handling, and recruiting
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a target-driven environment
- Familiarity with the maintenance/construction industry is a plus
