Casey's is looking to add a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to our team in Ankeny, IA! The Vehicle Maintenance Tech follows established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. They are responsible for performing minor repairs and limited preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
This position includes a $3,000 Sign-On Bonus!
Responsibilities:
- Performs minor repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services. Advises supervisor immediately if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be completed within the Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
- Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
- Washes vehicles and equipment as needed.
- Assists with conducting safety checks on vehicles.
- Assists senior mechanics in the completion of project work.
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures

- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Prior work-related experience is preferred.
- Solid interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- General knowledge of all shop equipment and tools.
- Ability to follow all motor vehicle rules and regulations involved in the safe operation of all vehicles owned by Casey's.
- General knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting practices and procedures.
- General knowledge of tools and equipment used in building and mechanical trades' work.
- Must be available after-hours for calls to repair equipment.
