Summary

The Vault Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operation, and supervision of Vault employees. The Supervisor is responsible for money coming in and out of the casino under the guidance of the Vault Manager. They are responsible for distributing, verifying, counting and balancing all money coming in and out of the Vault. The Supervisor will ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and federal/state/tribal regulatory requirements. The Vault Supervisor will work hours appropriate to meet the needs of the business, which may include nights, weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions of the Position

  • Ensures CCRH quality guest service and positive atmosphere maintained in your department.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of department at all times. Which can entail assigning additional tasks when needed.
  • Make good and proper decisions that reflect positively, and protect the assets of the Casino.
  • Supervises departmental employees and schedules proper coverage for all shifts
  • Oversees Vault Tellers for deposits. Ensures Vault teller tallies all paperwork to ensure that the correct amounts of money are coming in and going out.
  • Responsible for the compilation of all necessary information and preparation of reports needed to comply with Tribal, Federal, and State regulations to maintain proper compliance at all times.
  • Count monies and complete paperwork in a timely manner, in accordance with Minimum Internal Control standards MICS(Paperwork is defined as documents, either paper or electronic)
  • Work in close quarters with team members.
  • Distribute, verify count and balance all monies in the Vault every shift.
  • Maintain good working relationship with all co-workers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Vault Manager.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma (or equivalent experience).
  • Two (2) years supervisory experience required.
  • Two (2) years previous cash handling position required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a Class A gaming license.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; skill in working in an environment subject to constant interruptions and quickly changing priorities; ability to prioritize responsibilities when necessary; effective time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software, including accountability software, word processing and 10 key.
  • Knowledge of Tribal/State/Federal laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain positive effective working relationships with staff, vendors, management, and the public, both in person and through phone, e-mail and written correspondence.
  • Ability to learn quickly, self-leader with initiative, highly flexible and comfortable in a constantly changing environment that can be fast paced and stressful.
  • Ability and accuracy to handle large sums of money.
  • Ability to train, instruct and supervise a variety of employees at all levels.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervisory responsibilities for Vault staff under the guidance of the Vault Manager.

Physical Demands

  • Required to walk, sit and stand for periods of time.
  • Ability to push, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and move intermittently throughout the day.
  • Work Environment
  • Working with others in close proximity at times.
  • Exposure to smoke and second hand smoke.
  • Noise level can be minimal to intensity
