```Job Summary```
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vascular Technologist to join our team. As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing vascular tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with vascular conditions. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
```Responsibilities```
- Perform non-invasive vascular tests such as ultrasound, Doppler, and plethysmography
- Use aseptic technique to ensure a sterile environment during invasive procedures
- Evaluate patient medical history and symptoms to determine appropriate tests
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions
- Position patients correctly to obtain accurate test results
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop treatment plans based on test findings
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
```Qualifications```
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
- Certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS)
- ACLS, BLS certifications preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to vascular conditions
- Proficiency in performing Vascular Ultrasound examinations, including carotid, venous, arterial, and abdominal studies
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and aseptic technique
- Ability to accurately interpret test results and provide detailed reports
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in performing diagnostic evaluations such as ankle-brachial index (ABI) testing
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring during vascular procedures
