Varsity Football Head Coach

Peddie seeks a Head Coach for the Varsity Football team. This position is fully responsible for the overall supervision of the program, including the junior varsity team.

Simply put: We believe in the importance of Education Through Athletics, and it’s critical that this philosophy be at the heart of the new Head Coach’s approach.

Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to: practice and game planning; record keeping; working alongside the Associate Athletic Director to develop a schedule; maintaining necessary certifications (e.g. CPR/AED); health and safety supervision; off-season training; recruiting and working alongside admissions; communication with players and families; assisting student-athletes with the college process when appropriate.

Ideally, this candidate should have significant coaching and/or playing experience, should be knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and hopefully will coach other sports as well. The ability to develop less experienced players, as well as work with players at the upper level, is essential. A willingness to assume a greater role within the Peddie Community (i.e. is interested in teaching and/or working in a department beyond Athletics) will be important, up to and possibly including living on campus and doing residential duties.
