JOB DESCRIPTION –VAN SHUTTLE DRIVER
COMPANY– StarForce National Corporation is a Department of Defense authorized passenger Transportation Company. Our primary mission is the safe and efficient transportation of young men and women who are entering military service. Our customers are the Recruiting Commands of the Military. We are seeking a driver to work with an established team.
JOB DUTIES –This is a permanent part time position. Driver will work scheduled Service Sectors per week and must be flexible when needed. Duties include driving shuttle van between Rapid City, SD and Sioux Falls, SD on a fixed route estimated 1 trip per week (Monday-Thursday), transporting military recruits. Due to DOT restrictions, it is an overnight route. Driver will transport passengers to Sioux Falls, SD, then overnight in Hotel, then return to Rapid City, SD the following day. Additional days may be requested by military customer. Driver will operate a 7-passenger SUV. Drivers will maintain daily and cyclic paperwork supplied by the company. Further instructions will be provided during the training period.
TRAINING -two (2) days of training at $75 per day, payable after thirty (30) days of continued employment.
WAGES – estimated $200 per round-trip ($92 per unused scheduled day). Drivers are paid by the Service Sector, and are paid twice a month via direct deposit as W2 employees. StarForce pays the Prevailing Wage, or higher.
JOB REQUIREMENTS—the job requires a high school diploma/GED. Driver must possess a valid Regular Driver's License. Must be twenty-six years of age or older. Must have a clean driving record verified by a current MVR report. Must have a current DOT physical, or be able to pass the DOT physical; and pass a pre-employment drug test and a background check. Having vehicle mechanical experience is beneficial, possessing a compatible manner with responsible young people is important, and being committed to a dependable, on-time work ethic, is required.
