Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Administrator, the Van Driver will provide transportation for residents in the center van or accompany accompany them with a third party provider to their medical appointments and activities. This position will assist in maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for the residents. This includes assisting residents with activities of daily living, recreation programs and eating, as needed.
Qualifications:

• Must have clean driving record.
• Must be able to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
• Related administrative experience and/or experience as CNA or Nurse at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
• Physical and Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical devices): Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling; ability to hear and respond to pages; ability to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures, ability to read and write, ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and directions; ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel, vendors, and consultants; ability to remain calm under stress.
