Van Driver (30 hours)

Who We Are

Pawnee Mental Health Services is a private, not-for-profit community mental health center dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services to strengthen the wellness of our communities. Operating over 10 counties in North-Central Kansas, we provide a full range of psychotherapy, crisis, medication management, and substance abuse recovery services to over 7000 adults, adolescents, and children every year. Pawnee is the only provider in our service area who welcomes anyone in need of mental health services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year – regardless of their insurance, status as a client, or ability to pay. The Role You Play

As a Van Driver for Pawnee, you will be working with our Substance Use department helping to transport clients in the evenings.

• The Day-to-Day
  • Provide safe and reliable transportation to clients and the general public as requested
  • Ensure all passengers observe all safety procedures
  • Plan out routes to ensure the most economical use of time and equipment
  • Provide assistance to riders entering and exiting the vehicle, this may include operating a wheelchair lift as necessary
• Other Duties as Assigned
  • Keep equipment clean
  • Document all vehicle usage on the Pawnee trip log

Who You Are

• Required
  • Kansas Driver’s License and at least 4 years of independent driving experience
  • Oral and written communication skills using the English language
  • Automobile liability insurance maintained in accordance with Pawnee policy
• Preferred
  • Public transportation experience

Results of criminal and all other applicable background checks must meet the approval of Pawnee Mental Health Services.
