The Value Based Care Program Analyst is responsible for the development and/or on-going management standard and adhoc reports and analysis of value driven programs such as PCMH, THL, EOC and other VBC programs or initiatives. Provides implementation support, measurement standards, and revisions as needed that incorporate applicable best practices with proven outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Regularly works to identify, monitor, track and solution for identified data gaps negatively impacting reporting with vendors, internal shared service data partners and national data teams
  • Recommends and helps implement new ideas for processes improvement to enhance client and provider satisfaction with DST program performance
  • Participate as needed in external and internal team meetings in order to identify end to end opportunities for improvement
  • Leverage comprehensive knowledge of program operations to deliver presentation grade analytic and business intelligence solutions in support of health plan initiatives and strategies
  • SME for knowing how to navigate UHC source systems for harvesting accurate and reliable data to support DST and VBC reporting
  • Represents the HP in routine state level meetings as the data lead for DST programs
  • Primary Optum liaison for data reporting
  • Provides business intelligence solutions for all aggregate program reporting
  • SME for providing provider performance data to support provider enablement processes
  • Work independently to identify priorities, make decisions, and complete work to meet established objectives
  • Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
  • Provides explanations and information to others on the most complex issues
  • Collect and review data to evaluate programs and services
  • Compile and prepare the information needed for state partner and health plan reports
  • Drives successful performance by working cross-functionally and coordinating with other leaders and teams
  • Perform other related functions as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of health-care-related terminology, programs, and/or services
  • Proficient with relevant computer systems and platforms and ability to operate (i.e. Tableau or Power BI)
  • Proven to perform other related functions as assigned
  • Ability to travel up to 10% for on-site internal and external partner meetings
  • Ability to manage multiple complex concurrent projects
  • Reside in the state of Tennessee

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience with a Managed Care Organization
  • Working knowledge of State rules for program-specific eligibility and requirements
  • Understanding of applicable business departments' operations, drivers, and/or procedures
  • Understanding of relevant federal and state regulatory guidelines
