Pay Range: $60,715.20 - $91,083.20
Summary:
Full-time 40 hours per week. Day Shift. Monday-Friday.
Clinical experience preferred.
The Value Analysis Coordinator is the clinical liaison between Supply Chain and the Health System. This professional level position provides objective clinical expertise to the clinical product selection process and is a key participant in the Value Analysis process. Work situations are varied, requiring broad-based clinical expertise, knowledge of medical products, strong leadership skills, including discretion, the ability to research, analyze, and draw sound conclusions, the ability to effectively navigate between financial and clinical requirements, and the ability to facilitate consensus between differing parties. Strong interpersonal communication skills and customer service skills are of critical importance.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Facilitates the Value Analysis process which includes working in collaboration with Value Analysis Teams, clinical staff and Supply Chain Management to achieve cost savings by focusing on appropriate supply standardization, utilization, and process improvements to seek high quality and cost effective products and services with maximum supply investment value.
  • Conducts cost data analysis and assimilates it into a format to be easily used by decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Participates in Captis as Altru's designated representative. This work includes representing Altru in Cohort and Captis organizational meetings, review of contract opportunities, tracking of participation/compliance requirements, maintaining communication and completing the necessary paperwork within the established timeframes.
  • Provides leadership and education to Value Analysis Team members, managers, physicians and administrators related to costs, best practices, decision-making methodology and processes required to achieve measurable results.
  • Uses internal information systems and available comparative data to identify potential performance/process improvement opportunities and serves as project manager or facilitator for resulting improvement projects.
  • Advocates the use of established Value Analysis processes by physicians, staff and managers across the organization. Identifies opportunities for process improvement and supports improvement efforts as needed.
  • Identifies approaches for appropriate supply/product consumption, process and clinical utilization improvement and acts as liaison between Materials Management, Finance, Care Management, Administration, Medical Staff/clinicians, and departments to plan and implement these approaches.
  • Works with buyers and clinical staff to negotiate contracts and commitment levels with manufacturing representatives.
  • Provides support for medical technology assessment, capital purchasing, the supply formulary and the processes to maintain them. Provides access to new users of the HSS ordering system, and sets up the requisition approval paths in HEMM as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
