Job description

Stambaugh Ness (SN) is a multi-discipline, professional services firm serving clients nationally with a strategic focus on architecture and engineering, professional services, construction and real estate, and manufacturing industries.


The role of the Valuation Manager encompasses overseeing valuation initiatives from the initial engagement to the final report delivery. This individual will report to the Valuation Director and collaborate extensively with other teams to develop financial models as required.


This role requires a proven track record of providing valuations services, leadership, mentoring skills, and business acumen to deliver value to our clients and contribute to the growth and success of our valuation practice. This is a remote position.


Job responsibilities:

  • Conduct valuation modeling, analysis, and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Engage with company executives as necessary to establish valuation perspectives.
  • Coordinate with various teams to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on existing valuation methods utilized by clients.
  • Develop and refine valuation models to accurately assess value.
  • Craft industry-specific, sophisticated, yet accessible reports.
  • Conduct presentations via Teams, addressing client concerns attentively.
  • Complete and streamline the product delivery process.
  • Efficiently manage numerous projects concurrently, demonstrating strong project management capabilities.
  • Facilitate project scheduling and delivery coordination with team members to meet deadlines.

What it takes to be a Valuation Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related fields.
  • CPA Certification is a plus
  • ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation) or CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) certification
  • Proven background in valuation, particularly in M&A, financial reporting, tax assessments, and ownership transitions
  • Experience in the Engineering and Architecture sectors is preferred
  • Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in financial modeling and various valuation methods, including DCF, market comparable, and precedent transactions.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific valuation factors, such as market dynamics, regulatory impacts, and competitive context
  • Agility in adapting to new industry trends, regulatory shifts, and valuation best practices
  • Self-motivated and positive attitude with a desire for knowledge to keep skill set relevant
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and interact with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to work from home as well as available to travel as needed for company, business development and marketing events

Salary:

The salary range for this position is an estimate of $110,000 - $135,000. A final compensation offer within this range will be based on factors including an individual’s skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography. This position may be eligible for annual discretionary performance bonus opportunities.
